Can you tell me where we've seen this before? The Attacks on Academic & Scientific Freedom?

"We are sending this SOS to sound a clear warning: the nation's scientific enterprise is being decimated." Almost 2000 researchers sent a letter to the White House asking them to stop assaulting scientific research, according to ABC News

We've all known that Trump and his team oppose academic freedom, but did you know how badly they want to stymie actual scientific research too? Well,.. some of the worlds most renown scientific and research organizations, thought leaders, and teams based here in the US are being decimated by the Trump team.

Scientists and researchers numbering in the thousands have been fired or put on leave. They've been told that we don't need you or the advancements in basic knowledge and advanced technologies you bring to us. They've been told that the work they do to help their fellow Americans, whether civilians, veterans, active duty military, children with rare diseases, or the impact of one's demographics on access to and quality of healthcare, or the advanced technologies we need to protect us, are not welcome or needed any more.

Can you imagine the hubris and callousness of our 'leaders', the level of arrogance over and disdain for our country's intellectuals, academics, and scientific research one must have to destroy all of it? Or, to at the very least, to try to remake all of our academic pursuits and endeavors in the image of Trump, RFK, Jr, or The Heritage Foundation? We've seen this before.

Removal of Judge Boasberg by Resolution sought by Rep. Biggs of Arizona

The Western Journal is reporting that Rep. Biggs (R-AZ) believes that Judge Boasberg can simply be removed by majority vote in the House. He "submitted a resolution on Monday" to do just that. He claims that the constitution says lower court judges can be removed for bad behavior. If the House takes up the Biggs' Resolution, then it likely will succeed in removing Judge Boasberg much more easily than an impeachment process.

I wonder if they would go along with the Biggs' rationale when democrats try to use it to remove activist conservative judges who also employee nationwide injunctive relief from bad policy or EOs?

Congress considers removing a sitting lower court judge,.. because they ruled in opposition to what they wanted.
